Long & Foster Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 independent real estate brand by sales volume, will host its annual spring Open House Weekend on April 21 and 22. The event, which takes place in many of the company’s markets in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, will provide an opportunity for home buyers to explore many properties that are available for sale in their communities.
“Long & Foster is committed to providing world-class customer service so home buyers can have the best possible experience on their journey to homeownership,” said Gary Scott and Larry “Boomer” Foster, presidents of Long & Foster Real Estate. “For us, Open House Weekend is an opportunity to help educate buyers and provide them the info they need while giving sellers the chance to show their homes to more potential buyers. We don’t want home buyers to simply live in their home, we want them to love it.”
During Open House Weekend, mortgage consultants from Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC, will be on site at as many Long & Foster open house locations as possible to answer questions about the mortgage process and pre-qualify interested individuals. Long & Foster Settlement Services and Long & Foster Insurance will also have representatives on hand to help buyers learn about everything from closing on their home to protecting their investment.
“This past winter was harsh, and many buyers who were waiting for warmer weather to shop for a home want to take advantage of current mortgage rates while they’re still low,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and chief executive officer of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Open House Weekend allows consumers to learn about their local real estate market, discover what homes are available and become more informed buyers, whether they plan to buy now or just sometime in the future.”
