Accomplished title professional and attorney Shannon McNair has been appointed president at Mid-States Title, a leading provider of settlement services in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. McNair brings over 25 years of real estate, business law and compliance experience to the position, in which she will lead Mid-States’ seven owned settlement companies and law firm affiliations—RGS Title, Sage Title Group, Sage Premier Settlements, Infinity Title Agency, Realm Title Agency, Giordano, DelCollo, Werb & Gagne, LLC, and Crawford Law Group.
“I’m honored and excited to take on this role at Mid-States Title,” said McNair. “We have an exceptional team of title and settlement professionals, who’ve achieved tremendous results for our business and clients, and I’m excited to work with them in growing our company and delivering even greater service and support in the years ahead.”
McNair has been part of the Long & Foster family for about five years, most recently serving as vice president of compliance and operations. In this role, she implemented company-wide compliance programs, mitigating corporate risk and ensuring alignment with national, state and local regulations. She introduced invaluable protocols, reporting and accountability systems to streamline operations and improve service levels across the companies. Prior to joining Long & Foster, McNair spent almost 15 years running a private law firm and settlement agency, which conducted thousands of annual settlements with multi-million-dollar revenues.
“Shannon is a driven and strategic leader, whose dual focus on exceptional service and communication, will help guide our settlement business today and into the future,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Mid-States Title. “Her vast knowledge and decades of experience in the industry also will benefit our team and all our clients—both the real estate agents with whom we partner, as well as area consumers.”
McNair earned her Juris Doctorate from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and she received her bachelor’s degree from Truman State University. She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
