Long & Foster’s Website Receives Award for Superior Performance

Leading Real Estate Companies of the World recognizes LongandFoster.com with ‘Best Interactivity’ award

Long & Foster Real Estate has won a Website Quality Certification (WQC) award from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE), a selective global community of the more than 565 independent real estate firms. WQC awards are presented to LeadingRE member websites that demonstrate best practices in a variety of critical areas relating to website performance, including usability, design, content, interactivity, customer service and mobile responsiveness.

Participating websites were evaluated by Virtual Results, LLC, a real estate internet and social marketing firm selected by LeadingRE to conduct the evaluations. Long & Foster earned the Best Interactivity Award for its consumer-facing website, LongandFoster.com. The site was noted for having features that engage consumers, such as robust property searches and effective use of blogs and social media.

“On LongandFoster.com, we aim to deliver an experience that not only meets consumers’ needs, but exceeds them. That means actively maintaining a site where visitors can easily shop for homes, connect with an agent, learn about the buying, selling, renting and investing process, and much more,” said Barry Redler, CMO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We continually work to add new functionality to our site to keep it engaging and receiving an award like this is proof of our success.”

Among the noteworthy features on LongandFoster.com is an interactive home value estimator, which gives site visitors an instant valuation of most residential properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The online tool draws from three sources to create a broad range of possible valuations, with the caveat that only a qualified real estate expert—like those at Long & Foster—can give an accurate picture of a home’s market value.

Visitors to the site who are looking at properties for sale can also hear any property descriptions read aloud in English or Spanish, with just the click of a button. Google Translate is also now available site-wide on LongandFoster.com, giving visitors the ability to view the site in approximately 100 languages.

“We are pleased to recognize the outstanding websites named as winners of our Website Quality Certification awards,” said LeadingRE President/CEO Pam O’Connor. “To earn this distinction among the 135 companies whose outstanding websites qualified for the WQC is an indication of true excellence in web design, functionality and content.”
