The Long & Foster Companies has named Helina Dancer as senior vice president of human resources to lead the company’s efforts to become the employer of choice throughout its footprint. Dancer brings more than 20 years of experience enabling the achievement of full business potential through comprehensive human resources leadership to Long & Foster’s family of companies.

Dancer joins the company from MERSCORP Holdings, Inc., which owns and operates the Mortgage Electronic Registration (MERS) System, a national electronic registry system that tracks the changes in servicing rights and ownership interests in registered mortgage loans.
During her career, Dancer has developed a strong expertise in workforce planning, employee welfare, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and change management. In her new role, she is poised to further strengthen Long & Foster’s ability to support and guide its teams to excellence across the family of companies.

Originally from New Jersey, Dancer holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. She currently resides in Leesburg with her husband, Craig and their three children.
