Trust. Family. Excellence. These are the guiding principles behind our company culture here at Long & Foster, and the reasons why our families—that’s all our agents, employees and clients—have been on our minds as we’ve monitored the coronavirus (COVID-19) developments.
We put family first, and it’s our responsibility to take whatever steps we can to help ensure the well-being of our Long & Foster family and the broader community.
We’re in unprecedented times and it calls for unprecedented actions to protect our teams.
Here’s what we’re doing.
We remain open for business, with visits to our sales offices by appointment only, as of June 11. Following the social distancing recommendations from the CDC, our offices are open by appointment only for the public until further notice. Our locations remain accessible for our agents and employees for essential business needs, and we continue to encourage teleworking to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Our team of real estate, mortgage, settlement services, insurance and moving professionals stand ready to serve you.
Our real estate agents and their support teams are here to help you. As always, they’re ready and able to support your real estate needs. Long & Foster provides our team with some of the best technology in the business, enabling them to maintain their business operations and serve their clients from virtually anywhere. They can be reached via email and phone to assist buyers, sellers, renters and investors. You can also start your home-buying or selling journey online at longandfoster.com, where you’ll find our buyers and sellers guides, among other useful resources.
We instituted a telework policy for our teams and are leveraging technology to continue our operations. Our sales offices reopened on June 11, and our employees there are following a mixed schedule, working both from home and in the office on varied days to maintain social distancing. We continue to leverage digital tools to ensure business operations as usual. Long & Foster also has put processes in place for buyers and sellers to work with our team and conduct business virtually, from contract to close. Click here to learn more.
Depending on the market, most real estate closings are taking place remotely or online with our Long & Foster Settlement Services partners, and we created guidelines that balance the needs of our clients with the safety-first approach necessary in today’s world. The Long & Foster family of companies—mortgage, title, insurance, property management, real estate and more—are well positioned to work together in helping buyers and sellers through the continually changing situation.
This is an evolving situation, and we’re staying on top of the guidance from the CDC and other authorities to protect both our teams and the greater community. We’ll continue to share updates as they’re available.

These are trying times for sure but we will be here if you need us.
