Jeff Detwiler is CEO and President of The Long & Foster Companies. He is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the organization and overseeing its daily operations.

The Long & Foster Companies consists of seven business lines: general brokerage, property management, relocation, mortgage, settlement services and insurance, as well as several smaller ventures in related business areas, including new home sales and marketing.

Detwiler sits on the board of directors for Moxi Works, a technology company that specializes in leading-edge real estate tools for agents and brokerages and in which Long & Foster is an investor. In his role on the board, Detwiler contributes to Moxi Works’ long-term growth and strategic development, supporting the company in its quest to help real estate agents better serve clients and advance their business.

In addition, Detwiler is also on the board of directors for the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Economic Council of Greater Baltimore and George Mason University.

Detwiler has almost 30 years of experience in the financial services industry with much of that time devoted to various segments of banking including mortgage, investment and commercial banking. His background also includes insurance and portfolio management. Detwiler graduated from Princeton University in 1983.
