Long & Foster executive speaks about business development in the expat market
Pandra Richie, SCRP, SGMS-T, president of corporate real estate services for The Long & Foster Companies, addressed attendees at the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) and Luxury Portfolio International International Symposium in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The event, which was held from Oct. 16 to 18, attracted accomplished real estate professionals from member firms in over a dozen countries.
The International Symposium focused on global real estate issues and strengthening the LeadingRE network’s growing worldwide capabilities. Richie spoke about business development abroad, with a focus on tapping into the expat market—an area of vital interest to real estate professionals around the world.
“The International Symposium provided a wonderful opportunity to learn from and network with fellow members around the globe. We are seeing more cross-country mobility business than ever before, and this event presented the perfect platform to share our knowledge of how real estate is handled around the world,” said Richie.
Other speakers at the International Symposium included Adrian Hayes, a professional adventurer and business coach, who spoke about maximizing potential in business and life. Ramón Tamames, an economics professor at the University of Madrid and well-known academic, also spoke to the Symposium attendees, as did Andrew Taylor, Co-CEO of Juwai.com, a property portal for Chinese real estate buyers. Sessions focused on a range of topics, from understanding the differences in global real estate practices to building business relationships.

The 2014 Symposium is the latest event in series of successful global symposiums held by the network in Venice, Lisbon, Madrid, Rome, Valencia and Dublin.
