CHANTILLY, Va., March 16, 2018 – Long & Foster Real Estate agent Daniel Schuler has been named a finalist for Realtor Magazine’s 2018 Class of “30 Under 30.” Online voting for the contest’s Web Choice Award winner opened today.
Schuler, 29, is a Kensington, Maryland, native and holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. After college, he returned to Maryland intent on attending graduate school. Instead, he met Long & Foster top agent Melinda Estridge through an acquaintance and decided to join her real estate team.
“I went to one of the Estridge Group’s meetings, and immediately, I knew that was exactly where I wanted to be,” Schuler said. “I just went for it. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Schuler said he thrives on the competitive nature of real estate in the U.S. capital region, and his clients benefit from his architectural training because he can help them visualize improvements they might want to make to a property. He’s also involved with his local real estate board. In 2017, he represented buyers and sellers in $15.7 million in sales, with 28 transactions.
“We’re proud of Daniel and appreciative of how hard he works for his clients,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “It’s rewarding for all of us at Long & Foster to see one of our own recognized not only for his accomplishments, but also for what he represents to the future of the industry.”
Schuler lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife and their 10-month-old son.
Fifty finalists for the program, including Schuler, were selected by a panel of judges. Through online voting, the public will choose one of the final 30 honorees as the Web Choice Award winner. A panel of judges will select the remaining 29. Realtor Magazine is a publication of the National Association of Realtors.
