Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president and regional manager at Long & Foster | Christie’s International Real Estate, has been named as one of the industry’s most influential leaders for 2017 by Inman, a leading source of real estate news and analysis. Ariosa heads the Baltimore, Eastern Shore and Western Maryland region of Long & Foster, which is the nation’s No. 1 privately owned residential real estate company.
“This year’s Inman Influencers List includes many inspiring individuals, and I’m so grateful to have been chosen to be included among them,” Ariosa said. “Throughout my career, I’ve focused on providing the best service possible to those around me, whether they’re real estate clients, agents launching new careers, managers leading their own teams or members of the community. Real estate is a passion for me, and I’m thankful that the work I do enables others to succeed in the space as well.”
The Inman Influencer List recognizes numerous professionals who shape, change and influence the industry, including executives, entrepreneurs, marketers, advocates, tech startup founders, hackers and more. They bring a diverse blend of credentials, viewpoints, backgrounds and experiences to the business, as well as creativity, talent and unique insights.
“They are not cut from the same cloth, they do not speak the same language and they do not always necessarily share the same values,” said Inman publisher Brad Inman. “But they influence the industry by their work, through their followers and by expressing their opinions.”
“Those recognized on the 2017 Inman Influencer List have made profound impacts and extensive contributions to the real estate industry and we are proud to see Cindy named alongside so many innovative, noteworthy individuals,” said Jeffrey S. Detwiler, chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies. “Cindy is truly deserving of this honor and she embodies the ideals that we value as a company – honesty, integrity and innovation.”
Ariosa has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and oversees 46 Long & Foster offices in the Baltimore, Eastern Shore and western areas of Maryland. In May 2016, she was named as chairman of the board of directors of MRIS, one of the largest multiple listing service systems in the country. She frequently contributes to publications such as The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun.
During the selection process for the 2017 Inman Influencers List, the publication considered recommendations from readers, editorial staff and outside suggestions. The publication said while thousands of real estate professionals make a difference in the real estate industry every day, those chosen for this year’s list, including Ariosa, are the ones they believe stood out from the crowd.
