Real estate veteran to serve as business development manager in Maryland
Long & Foster Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 family-owned residential real estate brokerage, has hired Christine K. Schuster as a business development manager for its Corporate Real Estate Services division. Schuster, who has been in the real estate business for over 25 years, will oversee new growth and expansion opportunities in the state of Maryland.
“I am excited to take on this new opportunity with Long & Foster and its Corporate Real Estate Services team,” said Schuster. “Long & Foster is uniquely positioned to provide all the services necessary for relocating transferees, consumers, as well as corporate clients, and I look forward to helping grow our market coverage and better support individuals and companies throughout Maryland.”
A lifelong resident of Maryland, Schuster is well versed in the housing markets throughout the state and has specialized in relocating buyers to the Mid-Atlantic area for many years. She had previously worked for Long & Foster as a sales associate with its Severna Park, Md., office and earned her certification as a relocation professional during that time. In this role, she served as part of an international relocation team that traveled to central Europe and helped civilian and military personnel relocate back to the United States.
Schuster also has a background in vacation and property management, having worked for three years as a resort property manager. In that position, she oversaw properties and advised on acquisitions of resorts throughout the continental United States. Additionally, Schuster has experience as a senior corporate relocation counselor for a competing local brokerage. There, she worked with third-party companies, individual transferees and agents, guiding them through the relocation process.
“In today’s continually changing real estate market, it is critical that our business is supported by experienced and talented leaders like Christine,” said Pandra Richie, president of Long & Foster’s CRES division. “I’m confident that with Christine’s relocation and real estate expertise, combined with the support and service of our in-house team, our company will continue on the path toward future growth and success. It is these kinds of additions that have allowed our company to grow and support buyers and sellers in all their homeownership needs for over 47 years.”
