Long & Foster Real Estate has named Tyler Simmons managing broker of its Village of Midlothian office in the Richmond region. He begins his new role today, Oct. 5.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join Long & Foster and work with the talented agents in Village of Midlothian,” Simmons said. “I look forward to learning what matters most to this team, sharing what I’ve learned as a broker and helping agents and their clients reach their goals.”
Simmons has worked in real estate since 2018 and most recently served as a managing broker with Samson Properties since 2020. He led the company’s Richmond Libbie Mill office and served as managing broker for its Central Virginia and Hampton Roads regions, with responsibilities including agent coaching, recruiting, training and contract negotiation. Previously, he was an agent and office manager with an independent brokerage in Northern Virginia.
“Tyler understands that agents do their best work when they have a broker who knows them, listens and follows through,” said Dawn Bradley, senior vice president and regional manager at Long & Foster Real Estate. “That’s the kind of leadership we value in Richmond and at Long & Foster, and I’m looking forward to welcoming him and working together to support our Village of Midlothian team.”
Before entering real estate, Simmons was a detective with the Prince William County Police Department. That experience strengthened the communication, judgment and problem-solving skills he brings to his work with agents. He also chairs the Richmond Association of Realtors’ Grievance Committee.
“Tyler brings the brokerage leadership and local market expertise to help agents take the next step in their businesses,” said Patrick Bain, CEO and president of The Long & Foster Companies. “Paired with Long & Foster’s All-Inclusive Real Estate Experience, that gives him a strong foundation to support our Village of Midlothian agents and help them deliver even more for their clients.”
