Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community.
Midlothian, Virginia June 3, 2026 – The Village of Midlothian office of Long & Foster Real Estate will participate in the company’s Community Service Day on June 22. The office, located in Midlothian, Virginia, will join the brokerages over 150 offices on a day of giving back by working with the Chesterfield Food Bank and Falling Creek Elementary School by collecting, bagging and delivering food for children out of school for the summer.
“Unfortunately, there are children who rely on the school for breakfast and lunch and because they are out of school this is not going to be an option. No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. With our help local children will have access to food all summer long.” Joan Dorsey, Managing Broker of the Village of Midlothian.
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”
