Founded in 2000 by Creig and Carla Northrop as The Creig Northrop Team, the business began with a dream and a single park bench conversation that sparked a passion for personalized client services and an innovative approach to real estate. The Creig Northrop Team quickly grew into Maryland’s #1 real estate team. Recognized nationally three times as the top team in the nation by RealTrends and the Wall Street Journal, the Creig Northrop Team evolved into Northrop Realty, a full-service brokerage, in 2018, ushering in a new era of growth and opportunity. In 2019, their first full year, Northrop Realty became the number one specialty brokerage in the nation in RealTrends.

In 2025, Northrop Realty headquartered in Clarksville, MD now boasts 17 regional offices, including five in Delaware and two in North Carolina, and 400+ real estate professionals.
