Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event

Real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Kent Island, Maryland office, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day on June 6.

Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at its over 200 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

The Kent Island office chose to embrace the power of unity and compassion by volunteering with Haven Ministries.

“We have chosen to volunteer at Haven Ministries Food Bank and are recognizing the impact of hunger and how it affects our community,” said Tom Richardson, manager of the Kent Island office. “Together, as we unload and organize the incoming food, we are not just stacking cans; we are building hope, nourishing lives, and making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.  Our dedication to this project stems from our belief that every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to transform lives and create a stronger, more caring society.”

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
