Offices completed steps to environmental responsibility in the Pearl Business partnership program

Long & Foster Real Estate is proud to announce that its Virginia coastal offices have become environmentally and sustainability certified as part of Virginia Beach’s Pearl Business partner program.  The offices that were awarded this status include Shore Drive Coastal, Accomac, Cape Charles, Captains Cove, Chincoteague and Oceanfront.

The Pearl Business certification is a three-year renewable recognition available to businesses operating in the city of Virginia Beach. This program certifies that qualified businesses are operating with sustainability and environmental responsibility as their driving values.

The program is in collaboration with Virginia Beach’s Lynnhaven River NOW organization, which encourages the active engagement of the private sector to move toward a more sustainable Virginia Beach and cleaner waters.  Lynnhaven River Now’s Pearl Business partner program helps businesses within the city to change the way they work by helping them to increase energy efficiency, reduce waste and pollution and use resources more strategically.

“I’m proud that all of the Long & Foster offices I manage are now Pearl Business partners and are committed to implementing practices that reflect the values of sustainability and environmental responsibility,” said Tina Holt, managing broker at Long & Foster.  “It’s important to us to help preserve the natural beauty of the area by taking little steps each day – which we can make a big impact to improve and sustain our environment.”

Long & Foster Real Estate is the nation’s No. 1 real estate company as part of HomeServices of America.
