Virginia Beach, VA — April 18, 2026 — Long & Foster Oceanfront/Coastal proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Big Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 18th, bringing the community together for a day of sustainability, service, and spring refresh.
The event was a tremendous success, with over 500 pounds of documents collected and securely shredded, helping local residents safely dispose of sensitive materials. Shredding services were provided by Commonwealth Document Management, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible handling.
Attendees also had the opportunity to declutter their homes thanks to JDawg Junk Removal & Hauling, who were on-site collecting unwanted items for proper disposal and facilitating e-waste recycling. Adding even more value to the event, CUTCO representative Russell Wimbrough offered professional knife sharpening services, helping guests refresh their kitchen essentials.
This community-focused event was made possible by the dedication and support of participating agents, including Jeremy Johnson, Jennie Burge, Jan Johnson, Donna Steward, Paige Takach, Katie Prescott, and Savannah Goodling, along with Joan Buckley and Ryan Belait, who contributed to the event’s success through sponsorship and guest outreach.
“We’re proud to continue hosting events that give back to our community while promoting sustainability and connection,” said the Long & Foster Oceanfront/Coastal team. “The continued growth of the Big Spring Cleanup each year shows just how impactful these efforts can be.” The team extends sincere thanks to all partners, agents, and community members who participated and helped make this year’s event another success.
