Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Jan Johnson to its Oceanfront/Coastal office in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Johnson will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.
“We are very excited and fortunate to have Jan join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Tina Holt, manager of the Oceanfront/Coastal office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Jan’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”
Johnson is participating in Long & Foster’s Success Path program, which offers extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating and more. Johnson holds membership in the Hampton Roads Realtor’s Association.
“Having a husband who is a Long & Foster agent through and through, Long & Foster was my only option when choosing a broker,” said Johnson. “Jeremy and I have talked of working together in real estate for years. This is the year that dream came to fruition and I couldn’t be more excited.”
“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our Success Path program has provided Jan with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Jan to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for over 50 years.”
Though she was born in Staunton, Virginia, Johnson grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in a town with one blinking light named Mt. Sidney. She has been married for 19 years to Long & Foster’s Jeremy Johnson. The couple has two dogs named Micah and Luka.
Johnson attended Radford University and graduated with a B.S. in psychology and child development. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years, most recently as the Director of Alumni Relations for Old Dominion University. She has also worked for reputable local organizations such as WHRO and An Achievable Dream.
When not working, Johnson enjoys spending time with her family and pups, lazy Sundays watching the Golden Girls, HGTV or true crime documentaries, exploring new (and revisiting favorite) local restaurants, and traveling.
