Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community
The Crofton Bowie office of Long & Foster Real Estate, will participate in the company’s Community Service Day on June 5. The Crofton Bowie office will join the brokerage’s over 170 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering at the office in Crofton, located at 2191 Defense Highway. There will be a Food Drive to benefit both Asbury Church Assistance Network and the Capital Area Food Bank.
“So many of us don’t truly understand that hunger never takes a holiday,” said Dominic Cantalupo, manager of the Crofton Bowie office. “We want to help provide some relief for those with hunger needs or food insecurity by providing some assistance.”
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Whether through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”
