Tim Smoot, an agent with Long & Foster Real Estate’s New River Valley office, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the New River Valley Association of Realtors. The Board is the governing body that oversees all association business on behalf of the membership. Smoot will serve as a director on the committee for two years.
“I am interested in contributing to the association, as others before me have, to make it the best it can be for its members,” Smoot said.
A Realtor since 2005, Smoot has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s New River Valley office throughout his career. He holds a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. Smoot has been an active member of the New River Valley Association of Realtors for 12 years, serving on its Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee for three years.
Smoot obtained his Bachelor of Science in management information systems from Indiana University, and he resides in Riner, Virginia. He is an assistant softball coach at Auburn High School and his daughter’s biggest fan at her athletic events. When he gets the chance, he enjoys snow skiing, watersports and travel.
