Southwest Virginia Long & Foster Agents Held Community Service Day Events

Long & Foster Real Estate agents and employees across Southwestern Virginia made an impact in their communities by volunteering their time and giving donations for the company’s annual Community Service Day.

Some of the projects undertaken by Long & Foster field offices in the region included:

  • Agents and employees from the Blacksburg office completed two service projects. The first was cleaning up a fence-line at Winterfrost Farm, a nonprofit that rescues, cares for and rehabilitates horses in need. For the second opportunity, agents and staff packed meals for 197 children and sorted inventory for the next packing night at Micah’s Backpack, a program that provides weekend and summer meals to children whose only stable access to food is at school.
  • The Lynchburg office chose to volunteer with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. They sorted and organized donations collected during the 26th Annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive. The donations went to help local families in need of food as well as several partner agencies.

“It’s always a privilege to give back to our communities, which have contributed so greatly to our 50-year record of success in helping people buy and sell homes,” said Brian Haug, Long & Foster senior vice president who oversees operations in Richmond, Hampton Roads and Southwest Virginia.
