Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Shannon Foster to its Oceanfront office in Virginia Beach. Foster will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.
“We are very excited and fortunate to have Shannon join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Tina Holt, manager of the Oceanfront office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Shannon’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”
Foster is participating in Long & Foster’s Success Path program, which offers extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating and more. Foster holds membership in the Hampton Roads Realtors Association.
“I have always had a passion for real estate,” said Foster. “Before pursuing my dream to be a realtor, I served five years in the United States Coast Guard. While serving, I was a damage controlman and trained hundreds of my shipmates on shipboard firefighting. Next to my great training skills, I was also a welder, pipefitter, and plumber. I went to Tidewater Community College for three years and plan to continue my education. While in school I decided to jump into real estate and follow my lifelong dream to be a realtor. I’m excited to help people in the community.”
In her spare time, Foster enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, dog and cat.
“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our Success Path program has provided Shannon with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Shannon to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for over 50 years.”
