The Long & Foster Companies, parent company to Long & Foster Real Estate—the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, has announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer P. Wesley “Wes” Foster, Jr., and President and Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey S. Detwiler have been named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list.
Foster was named No. 12 on the list, and Detwiler was named No. 54 on the list, which includes 200 influential CEOs, top executives and other leaders in the residential real estate industry. The list was created by Stefan Swanepoel and Rob Hahn.
“This second annual Swanepoel Power 200 list highlights many of the top real estate industry professionals in the country. Being named to a list that includes so many of my distinguished peers and contemporaries is an honor,” Detwiler said.
“Those named to Swanepoel list are innovative leaders in the real estate industry, and there are many worthy experts and professionals included,” Foster said. “Our goals at Long & Foster have always been honesty, integrity and innovation, and we are proud to have been named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list again.”
The rankings are based on a number of criteria including an individual’s personal influence, their tenure in the industry, the office they hold and the decision-making power of that office, the financial resources of their company or organization, the company or organization’s significance and contribution to the industry, the company’s geographic reach, and the individual’s recent activities, growth and potential.
