W.C. & A.N. Miller Realtors and Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, welcomes Monica Finkel as a top producer in its Spring Valley office at 4910 Massachusetts Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C.

“We are thrilled to announce Monica Finkel has joined our team of highly-trained professionals,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As the No. 1 brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic region, we operate with an agent-first mentality. We look forward to the energetic partnership Monica has created by deciding to join the industry-leading Spring Valley Miller office and our company.”

Finkel has been in real estate since 1974, when she worked as an agent on Capitol Hill, before starting her own business, Mayfair Properties Realty, LLC., in Georgetown in 1980. She recently closed the office, but said joining a larger, well-known brokerage has been a positive move.

“It’s lovely to have a big company supporting you and I just love W.C. & A.N. Miller,” Finkel said. “I look forward to continuing to help my past clients, as well as future clients, find the next home of their dreams as they move through all of life’s stages.”

Finkel holds real estate licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Finkel said she loves real estate because it offers her the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. She often maintains client relationships for years or even decades, and said one of her clients has been with her since 1976.

“Long & Foster continues to lead the way with cutting-edge tools and technology, which attracts top real estate professionals such as Monica,” explained Michael Seay, president of W.C. & A.N. Miller, a Long & Foster Company. “With the best-trained, best-equipped agents, W.C. & A.N. Miller continues to help Washington, D.C., area buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals.”

Raised in London, Finkel moved to the United States as a young adult and attended Queens College in New York City where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature. She has been a resident of Potomac, Md., for 35 years where she lives with her husband. She has three adult children and two grandchildren.
