The Yardley office of Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest privately owned residential real estate company in the United States, took part in the company’s 19th annual Community Service Day on June 8, 2016. Located in Yardley, Pennsylvania, the office joined the brokerage’s more than 220 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering at the Morrisville Senior Service Center. They spent their time gardening, completing yard work, painting as well as collecting donations of flowers, mulch, painting supplies and more.
“We saw that the Morrisville Senior Service Center had a need for these things to be done and were happy to be able to fulfill that need,” said Nick Ottaggio, managing broker of Long & Foster’s Yardley office.
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company, including staff from its headquarters located in Chantilly, Virginia, participated in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work. At a time when many charities and local organizations have a great need for assistance, we are honored to have the opportunity to help them.”
