Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community

The Village of Midlothian office of Long & Foster Real Estate, will participate in the company’s Community Service Day on June 5.  The Village of Midlothian office will join the brokerages over 170 offices in the day of giving back by collecting, assembling and delivering ‘Grab n Go’ and activity bags for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Richmond.

“When your child is in the hospital, it is naturally a very stressful time but add to that the extra burden of finding food, or things to keep siblings busy while waiting at the hospital,” said Joan Dorsey, managing broker of the Village of Midlothian office. “With our help providing these snack bags and activity bags for parents to just ‘Grab n Go’, our hope is to give them just a little relief and ease some of the burden.”

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
