Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for annual event

Real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Village of Midlothian and Stony Point office in Midlothian, Virginia, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day on June 27.

Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at many locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

The Village of Midlothian and Stony Point offices chose to volunteer with the Chesterfield Food Bank.  Agents from these two offices went to the Chesterfield Food Bank, and worked in the warehouse and grocery section, separating, loading, and unloading boxes of food. The offices are also collecting food and have decided that due to the extreme need, they will continue with the food drive and will also volunteer at the Chesterfield Food Bank once a quarter.

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
