Hundreds of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Village of Midlothian office participated in the company’s Toys for Tots community service event. The Village of Midlothian office collected more than 200 toys to donate to the organization.
Long & Foster also raised hundreds of dollars for Toys for Tots to purchase toys and distribute them where needed.
“The Toys for Tots initiative is always a fun, important cause and we’re excited to have been able to take part again and provided a convenient drop-off location for the community,” said Joan Dorsey, manager of the Village of Midlothian office. “It’s great to know that by collecting toys throughout the holiday season, children who are less fortunate in our area will have smiles on their faces Christmas morning.”
This year marked the company’s 33rd year participating in the holiday collection campaign. Long & Foster’s offices throughout eight states and the District of Columbia worked to collect toys for the organization. Once collected, Toys for Tots distributes the donated toys to children in need through churches and social welfare agencies.
“Giving back to the many communities in which we live and work is important to our Long & Foster family, which is why we participate in the Toys for Tots drive year after year,” said Patrick Bain, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies. “The U.S. Marines have built a tremendous program with Toys for Tots, and our employees, agents and their clients appreciate and enjoy the opportunity to share the holiday spirit with children who might not receive anything otherwise.”
