Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities
Employees and agents in Long & Foster’s Severna Park, Maryland office recently rolled up their sleeves and took part in a Community Service Day event.
The Severna Park office chose to volunteer with Serving People Across Neighborhoods (SPAN) from June 25to July 12. SPAN is a food pantry and emergency services provider located in Severna Park that has been helping families and individuals in Severna Park, Millersville and Arnold/Broadneck since 1990 with emergency situations such as hunger, utility turn-offs, court-ordered evictions, and prescription/medical needs.
SPAN also serves the following secondary areas: Crofton, Crownsville, Odenton, Gambrills, (requires referral Crofton Christian Caring Council), Pasadena and Glen Burnie (requires referral from North County Emergency Outreach Network), Linthicum and Severn.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
