Long & Foster’s Oceanfront/Coastal Office Hosts Community Service Day Event

Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Oceanfront/Coastal office in Virginia Beach, VA, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day on June 25th.

Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at more than 100 of their locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

The Oceanfront/Coastal office chose to volunteer with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Norfolk on June 25th. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with children who are facing serious health challenges. Through a global network of programs, including Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms, and Care Mobiles, RMHC helps families stay together and close to the care their child needs. By providing vital resources such as temporary housing, meals, and emotional support, RMHC helps ease the financial and emotional burdens families face during a medical crisis. The organization’s mission is grounded in the belief that when families are together, they cope better and can focus more fully on their child’s recovery.

As part of our recent Community Service Day, volunteers came together to give the kitchen areas, a much-needed overhaul, tackling a wide range of deep-cleaning and organizing tasks. The team worked diligently to clean out kitchen cabinets and refrigerators—including guest refrigerator bins. Pots and pans were thoroughly cleaned using the dishwasher, and every surface was given attention to ensure a refreshed, hygienic environment. In addition to the kitchen work, volunteers also cleaned and organized a playroom, creating a brighter, more inviting space for children to enjoy.
