The Oceanfront/Coastal office of Long & Foster Real Estate, collected handwritten cards for veterans taking part in Old Glory Honor Flight’s D.C. missions.

Old Glory Honor Flight is an organization that was established in 2009 by a group of loyal volunteers based in Appleton, WI. Their mission is to honor all veterans who served prior to May 7, 1975, by organizing free-of-charge missions. Their aim is to ensure that veterans receive the recognition and appreciation they deserve for their service to our country.

“Mail Call” is a special surprise for all veterans traveling on an Old Glory Honor Flight Mission. Mail is gathered from family, friends, and anyone else who wishes to participate, to be handed out to the veterans on their flights. This is the Oceanfront/Coastal office’s first year taking part in the event and the team gathered 113 cards for veterans.

“We are extremely grateful to the agents and staff of the Oceanfront/Coastal office who have continuously supported our Notes for Neighbors campaigns,” said Tina Holt, senior vice president & regional manager of the Hampton Road & Northeastern North Carolina regions. “Our community members have been able to enjoy a lot of happiness thanks to their assistance.”
