Susan Sanford, vice president and managing broker of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Bethesda All Points Office, congratulates Michael W. Seay, Sr. as he celebrates his 45th year in real estate.
An iconic leader in the Washington metro real estate arena, Seay first headed up the Realtor Division of W.C. & A.N. Miller Development Company as its president and Broker of Record. He is a native Washingtonian who has lived in his entire life in Washington, D.C. and Maryland with his wife and their five children.
Seay was instrumental in bringing the Christie’s Great Estates affiliation to the Miller Company and the Washington DC area. In 2007, Seay was key in facilitating a purchase of the Miller Company’s seven realtor group offices into Long & Foster. He served as the president and regional director of the Miller Group and later served as the managing broker of the Spring Valley office for Long & Foster before forming The Michael Seay Homes Team.
In 2018, Seay, along with many of his agents, transferred to the Miller flagship Bethesda All Points office, to work with his longtime colleague and friend, Susan Sanford, where he founded Michael Seay Homes with his son, Michael Seay, Jr. Together, they launched a successful partnership and are selling real estate throughout the D.C. metro area. Seay credits much of his 45 years of success in real estate to having a mindset that begins with caring for people first. He lives by the words, “stay in the flow of people’s lives”.
Recognized in 2019 as a Bethesda Magazine top agent honoree, Seay was presented with a professional achievement award by Long & Foster’s President and CEO, Jeff Detwiler, Vice President & Manager, Susan Sanford, and Regional Manager, Lonnie Plaster, for his years of service to the company. Seay is a Long & Foster Gold Team Founder’s Club member and part of Long & Foster’s D.C. Metro Luxury Alliance, the most elite group of real estate sales agents in the D.C. metro area. His personal approach to working with his clients and unparalleled market knowledge, combine to make him the best of the best in real estate.
“We offer our sincerest congratulations, as well as thanks, to Michael for his many years of dedicated work,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Agents like Michael are one of many examples of Long & Foster’s highly-trained professionals who go to great lengths to best serve clients seeking the total homeownership experience, and is part of the reason why Long & Foster is the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic region.
