Kathy Jones, a real estate associate in the Long & Foster Real Estate’s One Loudoun office, located in Ashburn, Virginia, has received the Code of Ethics Leadership Award for 2018 from Virginia Realtors. This award honors Jones for her knowledge of the Realtor Code of Ethics, professional standards, as well as her willingness to share her industry expertise with fellow Realtors.

Jones has been active in the Dulles Area Association of Realtors (DAAR) for many years and has served as chairman of the Education Committee. She also served two terms on the Board of Directors and was part of the former Metropolitan Regional Information Systems’ (MRIS) Compliance Committee. Jones has recently become certified to teach code of ethics and standards of conduct classes, to any Realtor association in the state of Virginia.

“Long & Foster is proud that Virginia Realtors has recognized Kathy’s commitment to professionalism and the industry. She is a dedicated leader within her office and our company; her knowledge and enthusiasm for high standards is a testament to her professional career,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate.

Jones has been a long-time volunteer with the DAAR and she has demonstrated outstanding leadership while serving on numerous committees in the area of ethics and professional standards. Virginia Realtors presented Jones with the Code of Ethics Leadership Award during a ceremony at the Hilton Norfolk on Sept. 26.
