Wins readers’ poll in Baltimore City Paper’s Best of Baltimore 2014 awards
Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, is pleased to announce that Joy Sushinsky has been named as the Best Realtor in Baltimore by the Baltimore City Paper. Readers of the alternative weekly selected Sushinsky, a longtime Baltimore resident and agent in Long & Foster’s Hampden office, for the annual award. Long & Foster also earned recognition as the Best Real Estate Company in Baltimore in the publication’s Best of Baltimore issue.
Sushinsky began her career in real estate in 2006, after having worked in the mortgage industry for a few years, and she’s quickly become a leading real estate agent in the area, earning recognition as the top-producing associate in her Long & Foster office in 2013. She currently specializes in residential real estate throughout the downtown Baltimore neighborhoods, including in Hampden where she’s lived for the last 15 years. Sushinsky often works with first-time home buyers, and she has served as a real estate partner with Live Baltimore, an organization that promotes homeownership in the Baltimore metro area, for the past four years.
“It’s an amazing accomplishment to be selected as the Best Realtor in Baltimore by the readers of the Baltimore City Paper, and I’m incredibly grateful that my neighbors in Charm City recognize my commitment to the industry and selected me, among so many outstanding real estate professionals, for the award,” said Sushinsky. “I also thank all of my clients for their trust in my real estate expertise and my colleagues at Long & Foster, including my manager Gus Tsamouras, for their exceptional service and support.”
A member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, Sushinsky is currently studying for the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. In addition to her real estate career, she is active in her neighborhood, volunteering with the Hampden Community Council’s Zoning & Land Use Committee and Moveable Feast, a charity that helps people living with HIV, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing them with nutritious meals. One of the key Moveable Feast fundraisers is a 140-mile bike ride from Ocean City, Md., to Baltimore, and Sushinsky has participated in the ride for the past five years. In 2014, she led her own team of cyclists, and they raised more than $25,000 for the charity.
“Joy’s tremendous commitment to her clients and her love of the Baltimore area are second to none, and it’s that dedication, as well as her expertise in the real estate market and her exceptional customer service, that helped her to earn this award from the readers of the Baltimore City Paper,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our company has a reputation of honesty, integrity and best-in-class customer service that spans 45 years, and the talent of professionals like Joy is why we remain the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic.”
