Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for 22nd annual event
Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Devon, Pennsylvania office, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 22nd annual Community Service Day in June.
Long & Foster’s Community Service Day took place at its over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.
The Devon office chose to volunteer at the Devon Horse Show this year. The Devon Horse show and county fair is the longest running outdoor multi-breed competition in the United States. With the grandeur of Philadelphia’s prestigious Main Line setting the stage, the event features a world-class field that annually ranks among the most prominent, internationally. The event also includes the county fair, which benefits Bryn Mawr Hospital and has donated $18 million to-date. The county fair offers world-class shopping, rides, games, multiple dining options and special entertainment events.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
