June 26, 2026

Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community

COLLEGEVILLE PA, June 23, 2026- The Collegeville Office of Long & Foster Real Estate participated in the
company’s Community Service Day on June 23rd. The office, located in Providence Town Center joined
the brokerage’s over 150 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering at Collegeville’s Worthwhile Thrift
store.

“Our sales associates volunteered at Worthwhile Thrift in Collegeville to help sort through donated items to
stock the thrift store. All proceeds from this store provide restorative programs and safe housing for those
affected by human trafficking. Worthwhile provides housing at “The Well”, for up to two years to help
victims, as well as a series of community-based education, empowerment and prevention programs called
“Worth It’,” explains Kathy Opperman, Branch Manager of the Collegeville office of Long and Foster. “Our
sales associates kept focus on the victims we were helping to serve with our small efforts, and it was a
comforting to know we could play a part to support their return to society from the tragedy of human
trafficking. We look forward to making another date to volunteer as an office, and to spreading the word of
the work that Worthwhile is doing to let people know they are worth it! You can get some great buys here so
please check it out!”

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company participated in a variety of
volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up,
refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other
assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.

“Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our
agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort,” said Patrick
Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real
Estate. “Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects,
we’re truly glad to give back.”
