Event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community

The Chickahominy/New Kent Sales office of Long & Foster Real Estate will participate in the company’s Community Service Day during the month of June. The Chickahominy/New Kent Sales office in New Kent, Virginia. will join the brokerage’s over 200 offices in the month of giving back by volunteering for the month of June at collecting nonperishable items for The Little Free Pantry/New Kent.

“We here at The Chickahominy/New Kent Office believe in giving back to our community, there are so many people out there that are in need of food,” said Lisa Wright, branch administrator of the Long & Foster’s Chickahominy/New Kent office.

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and daycare centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.

“Since our founding in 1968, we’ve been dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and our annual Community Service Day event is one example of how we do that,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort. Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”
