Long & Foster’s Bethesda Gateway Office Surpasses $1B in Sales for 2015

October 17, 2015

On October 14 the Bethesda Gateway office of Long & Foster Real Estate passed the $1 billion sales mark for 2015, according to Leon Nasar, the office’s senior manager.

“This is the earliest we’ve ever surpassed that milestone, and we’re leading the region in real estate sales,” said Nasar. “It shows great confidence in the economy, and in the Washington, D.C., area as a whole. One billion is a great statement that there’s confidence in real estate, and it’s a milestone we don’t always reach.”

Bonnie Casper, a leading agent in the office, credits both an improving economy and the office dynamics to this year’s achievements.

“We’re a big office with a high skill level. Match that with a positive economic outlook and you’ve got a recipe for success. Throw in some happy buyers, sellers and, of course, agents and you have a very good year,” said Casper, who is currently President of the Maryland Association of Realtors.

The Bethesda Gateway office was the first single office in the United States to exceed sales of $1 billion in 2002 and has been No. 1 at Long & Foster for over two decades.
