Agents and employees from Long & Foster Real Estate’s Bel Air, Maryland, office rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 19th annual Community Service Day on June 8, 2016. The Bel Air office chose to volunteer once again at the Historic Jerusalem Mill Village. Volunteers from the office helped with various jobs to assist in maintaining and beautifying the grounds, including spreading mulch, pulling weeds, planting trees and cutting grass.
The Jerusalem Mill, circa 1772, is the headquarters of the Gunpowder Falls State Park. The mill and numerous outbuildings, including a Revolutionary War gun shop, are maintained by the Friends of Jerusalem Mill. The FOJM depends on thousands of volunteer hours every year to help maintain the property. The FOJM said it greatly appreciates the yearly commitment of the Bel Air Long & Foster agents and employees and their hard work.
“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work. At a time when many charities and local organizations have a great need for assistance, we are honored to have the opportunity to help them.”
During Community Service Day, agents and employees at Long & Foster’s more than 220 offices, as well as those at its Chantilly, Virginia, headquarters, head out into their communities to volunteer with local organizations. In addition to its dedication to serving the community, Long & Foster Real Estate is committed to the success of its sales associates and is an industry leader in providing the latest and best tools, technology and training.
