The Bel Air office added thank you notes to pizza boxes for medical team.

Long & Foster Real Estate has announced that its Bel Air Central office, located in Bel Air, Maryland, raised funds this month and provided lunch for the medical team at two local hospitals.

Through a GoFundMe page, real estate agents, employees and members of the community came together and raised funds that exceeded their goal in the first 24 hours. On April 16, with the assistance of a Long & Foster client, who owns local restaurant, Slices Pizzeria, the Bel Air office delivered a meal to over 750 medical staff at two University of Maryland hospitals including Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air and Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace.

“On behalf of Long & Foster’s Bel Air Central office and countless others in our community, we would like to thank the medical teams at both Upper Chesapeake and Harford Memorial Hospitals,” said Tom Coard, manager of Long & Foster’s Bel Air office. “During these difficult times, this is a small token of our appreciation to all the staff, nurses and doctors who are working long stressful hours, during this worldwide health crisis, to selflessly provide for our community.”

The event was such a success that the team in Long & Foster’s Bel Air office is currently holding another online fundraiser to again supply a meal to hospital medical staff and also include first responders on May 21 to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the community.
