In 2022, Long & Foster’s Art Herling Team sold 773 homes with a total volume of $375 million – once again ranking them as the top group in the Philadelphia suburbs and the No. 2 team in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Art Herling Team has offices throughout the Delaware Valley in Blue Bell, Wayne/Devon, Doylestown and Northern Liberties to serve all of their buyers and seller’s geographic needs. Agents on the team are also licensed in New Jersey.
With 42 years of real estate experience, Herling is known for his extraordinary marketing skills and exemplary personal service. He has consistently ranked on the REAL Trends The Thousand list as one of the nation’s top agents.
Herling was born in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia and grew up in Flourtown Gardens. He graduated from Springfield High School (Montco) and Midwestern College in Iowa and began teaching school in Philadelphia at Stetson Junior High, then Audenreid Junior High School and then to Olney High School for 11 years. He received his master’s degree from Temple University.
Herling earned his Real Estate license in 1980 and practiced real estate part-time for four years, until 1984 when he “retired” from the Philadelphia School District. In 2001, Herling was named senior vice president for Long & Foster’s Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware region and grew the company to over 20 offices.
In 2012, he left his senior vice president position and went back to selling and listing real estate, which is his real passion. Over the next few years, his business grew. Herling’s children and many other agents have joined him to make his group one of America’s top-ranked teams and one of the most dynamic real estate groups anywhere.
