Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest family-owned residential real estate company in the United States, is pleased to announce that it was chosen to receive the Mayor’s Business Recognition Award from the Greater Baltimore Committee, the Baltimore Development Corporation and the mayor’s office of the city of Baltimore.
Fourteen businesses were honored with the award this year. According to the Greater Baltimore Committee, the award, “honors businesses for their outstanding corporate leadership, commitment to community and dedication to improving the quality of life in Baltimore City.” Long & Foster’s nomination was a result of the company’s joint donation with Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC, to the Baltimore Development Corporation to support the nonprofit’s Baltimore Business Recovery Fund last spring.
“At Long & Foster, we know how important homeownership is to any community. Local businesses flourish when homeownership is at its core value,” said Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster’s Baltimore region. “We want to support the very communities that we make our living from, so this is a way to give back and show our support for the families and businesses in Baltimore.”
The companies honored this year were recognized at a celebration luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 1. For more information about the awards, visit https://gbc.org/fourteen-businesses-receive-mayors-business-recognition-awards/.
