Employees at the brokerage’s headquarters volunteer at Habitat’s ReStore as part of their annual Community Service Day
More than 55 employees from The Long & Foster Companies joined together at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Chantilly on Sept. 24 as part of the company’s annual Community Service Day. The volunteers built Adirondack chairs and helped organize the store, continuing Long & Foster’s tradition of giving back to the communities it serves.
The team completed seven chairs, which will either be sold at the ReStore to support Habitat’s mission or provided to families moving into new Habitat homes. This marks the third consecutive year that Long & Foster’s headquarters staff has partnered with Habitat, reflecting both organizations’ commitment to helping people find a place to call home.
“Community Service Day is one of our favorite traditions at Long & Foster, because it gives us the chance to roll up our sleeves and give back to the community where we live and work,” said Patrick Bain, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Supporting our neighbors and strengthening our communities is central to who we are as a company, and working alongside Habitat for Humanity is a meaningful way to put those values into action.”
Long & Foster’s Community Service Day is an annual companywide initiative where employees and agents volunteer with local organizations to make a positive impact in their neighborhoods. Long & Foster is one of the nation’s top real estate companies as part of HomeServices of America. For more information, visit LongandFoster.com.
