Contributions help recognize Military, Civilian Police Officers of the Year
Since its founding, The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Insurance, has been dedicated to supporting military initiatives, as founder P. Wesley Foster, Jr., previously served in the U.S. Army. Following in that tradition, Long & Foster Insurance recently donated two iPads to the U.S. Army Military District of Washington’s (MDW) Military and Civilian Police Officer of the Year awards.
“It’s our privilege to contribute to the MDW, and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to express our gratitude to the members of the military and police force that provide such tremendous service and dedication to our country and our communities,” said Patrick Bain, president of Long & Foster Insurance.
The awards recognize military and civilian police officers with superior work records or those who perform meritorious acts or services both on and off duty, which contribute to the mission and quality of life at MDW, as well as its role as a good neighbor in the community.
Staff Sgt. Danilo Fernandez III, 241st Military Police Detachment at Fort Meade, was named as the Military Police Officer of the Year for MDW, and Officer Anthony L. Robinson, Police Services Division at Fort Meade, was recognized as the Department of the Army Civilian Police Officer of the Year for MDW. Fernandez and Robinson each received one of the iPads as part of their awards.
You can read more about Fernandez and Robinson on the U.S. Army website.
