August 5, 2014

Long & Foster Real Estate, the No. 1 independent residential real estate company in the country, has hired a new management team to lead its office in Mitchellville, Md. Kenneth Fagan, who has nearly 15 years of combined experience in the real estate business and sales management, has been appointed as the office’s branch manager. He will be working alongside Realtor Martha Martinez, who has been hired as the location’s new sales manager.

“I am very excited to lead the team of highly trained professionals at Long & Foster’s Mitchellville office. Long & Foster attracts high-caliber sales associates and clientele and is an industry leader by providing the best and latest tools, technology and training,” Fagan said. “I look forward to building the Mitchellville office and the company brand in the region.”

Martinez echoed Fagan’s enthusiasm for the opportunity. “I’m eager to help the many sales associates who call Long & Foster’s Mitchellville office home, and I’m excited to work with Kenneth in helping our team of agents in Mitchellville, as well as their clients, to achieve their real estate goals.”

Fagan comes to Long & Foster with dual-career experience, having most recently worked as a sales associate at a brokerage in Pennsylvania and as a branch manager at a baking company in that area. During his career, he’s demonstrated a proven ability to lead sales teams, helping them to grow their existing business and develop new opportunities, and he brings that skill with him to Long & Foster. Fagan is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors and the Realtors Association of York and Adams Counties.

Martinez, who previously worked as a sales associate in Long & Foster’s College Park, Md., office, brings nearly a decade of experience to her new position. Since she began her real estate career, she has earned recognition both with Long & Foster and the industry for her accomplishments. In addition to working with buyers and sellers, Martinez has led classes through Long & Foster’s Star Builders program, a training course for newly licensed sales associates, as well as agents returning to the field. She said it’s essential not only to help clients buy or sell homes, but also to educate them on the real estate process and the industry, and she’s excited to share her knowledge with Mitchellville team.

“Supporting today’s real estate sales professionals takes highly knowledgeable and experienced leaders,” said Dontae Carroll, regional manager of Long & Foster’s Southern Maryland region. “We are confident that appointing Kenneth and Martha to the leadership team in Mitchellville will result in the synergy that our agents thrive on. This is how our company has continued to help local buyers and sellers meet their homeownership goals for more than 45 years.”
