Brings over 15 years of experience as a top producer to the firm

Long & Foster | Christie’s International Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 privately owned residential real estate company, welcomes leading Realtor Kyle Richards to its team. Richards specializes in marketing and selling historic homes and exceptional luxury properties, as well as traditional and life transition home sales. Her industry expertise and commitment to exceptional customer service have helped her to achieve great success, and she has built her business almost entirely on referrals from happy clients.

“I’m thrilled to join the Long & Foster team and bring to my clients the tremendous marketing support, service and tools that it offers,” said Richards. “Not only will I have the strength of the Long & Foster and Christie’s brands behind me now, but also I will have the company’s commitment to excellence and its phenomenal training and tools to further ensure my buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals.”

Richards has been in real estate for almost 15 years, and her approach to the business has evolved from her personal life: she treats her clients and colleagues in the real estate industry with integrity, honesty and respect. She takes pride in assisting buyers and sellers long after settlement, and she considers many of her clients as lifelong friends. Her expertise is in analyzing each situation, then strategizing and negotiating the very best price and terms for her buyers and sellers. She serves as her clients’ trusted real estate advisor and advocate.

Richards takes a hands-on approach to the business, and that combined with her superior attention to detail and infectious enthusiasm have helped her to achieve great results for herself and her clients. She ranked as one of the top 10 agents in the D.C. area at her former brokerage and was one of that firm’s top 1 percent worldwide. Richards also received top honors from her prior firm—both as a rookie and as an accomplished professional—and she was named one of Washingtonian Top Real Estate Agents in 2016.

Prior to her career in real estate, Richards served as vice president at Chemical Bank and JP Morgan Chase. She also founded International Protocol, an international business protocol and life skills consulting firm. Through her consulting firm, Richards has coached thousands of young adults, business professionals and professional athletes to develop solid interpersonal skills to help them further their academic and professional careers. She is also a graduate of Yale University.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kyle to our team of leading agents in the greater D.C. market,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Kyle is known for providing her clients with exceptional service and support, and she will make a great addition to our Long & Foster family. With our combined dedication to the local market and our clients, as well as the strength of the Long & Foster | Christie’s brand, we’ll build upon and expand the already high quality of services we offer buyers and sellers in the area.”

Richards is a member of the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She holds a number of industry designations and certifications, including the Accredited Staging Professional (ASP), e-Pro, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and Smart Home Certification.

In addition to her real estate involvement, Richards is active in her local community. She served on the boards of the National Leadership Training Program and Cedarbrook Swim & Tennis Club, and she is a member of the Yale Club of Washington DC, the Kensington Historical Society and National Trust for Historic Preservation. Richards also volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and A Wider Circle, teaches life skills to young adults, and has volunteered as a substance abuse prevention educator with the Junior League.

Richards currently lives in Old Town Kensington, Maryland, with her husband Ken, sons Spencer and Austin, and her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Wrigley. When not selling real estate, she enjoys reading, doing home renovation projects, traveling, collecting vintage sports memorabilia and antiques, and watching college football and baseball.
