Area residents have the opportunity to tour a beautiful new home while giving back to nonprofit organization Noah’s Children from Feb. 26 through March 6. Listed by Pam Diemer of Long & Foster Real Estate, 709 Old Stream Road is located in the Kinloch community and is this year’s ABC8 Home of Distinction. The home, which is listed for $1.395 million, showcases classic American design along with the latest building products and design trends.
“The Kinloch community offers a multitude of exceptional amenities to suit the lifestyles of its residents,” Diemer said. “Visitors to this year’s Home of Distinction will be thoroughly impressed with both the beauty and tranquility of the neighborhood as well as the quality craftsmanship and elegance that Lancaster Custom Builder has put into the home. It’s wonderful to know that the efforts of all involved will provide funding to such a deserving organization.”
Noah’s Children is the region’s only pediatric palliative care and hospice program, providing care for infants and children 18 and younger who are diagnosed with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. All proceeds from this year’s Home of Distinction will be given to Noah’s Children. Tickets for the tour are $10 per person and participants can tour the home from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays or from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Constructed by Lancaster Custom Builder, this year’s Home of Distinction has 4,435-square-feet of living space, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home was created with utmost attention to detail and it offers exquisite moldings and wainscoting, high ceilings, hardwood floors, granite and tile baths and more, raising the bar for luxury homes in greater Richmond. Owners and brothers Thomas and Robert Lancaster are continuing their family’s tradition of creating custom homes with a reputation for uncompromising quality and integrity.
On the first floor of the home, visitors enter into a foyer that leads to the formal dining room as well as to a spacious great room with 10-foot coffered ceilings, an informal dining area and designer chef’s kitchen. The first-floor master suite includes his and hers closet dressing rooms, a large spa bathroom with double vanities, a bathtub and a shower. Adjacent to the master bedroom is a study or guest room with full bath and just off the kitchen is a laundry room and a mudroom leading to a three-car garage.
The second floor of the home includes three additional bedrooms and two baths. One bedroom includes its own private bath, while the remaining two bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, which has double sinks. An additional room on the second floor provides an opportune space to create a play room, a study area or a place for teens to relax with friends to watch movies or play video games. Two more spaces on the second floor provide ample storage space or one could be finished as a bonus room.
The Kinloch community sits near the Kinloch Golf Club, which is consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 Courses in America by Gold Digest, and the neighborhood includes a beautiful 70-acre lake ideal for fishing and boating. The community is also close to the Hermitage Country Club, which includes additional activities and amenities.
