Sales associates at Fonville Morisey Realty recently participated in the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina’s Stop Summer Hunger program by challenging one another to see which office could collect the most food for the organization’s food bank.
Each office filled baskets donated by the Fonville Morisey marketing department and took the donated food to be weighed to the food bank. The top overall winner with 100 percent participation and over 474 pounds of food collected went to the Croasdaile office in Durham. The Preston and Falls Offices rounded out the top three offices. In all, Fonville Morisey collected 1,965 pounds of food, equaling 1,644 meals in total.
Linda Fisher, special events and food drive manager for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, presented a plaque to Grace Jones, manager of the Croasdaile office, thanking everyone for their participation in the program. “We really appreciated all the support Fonville Morisey Realty has given the food bank over the years. It is amazing not only in the quantity but in the fact that you do it year after year, and with such enthusiasm.”
“Fonville Morisey is committed to the success of the Stop Summer Hunger Program and will continue to help support the nonprofit agency’s efforts to alleviate hunger across the Triangle,” said Mary Kay Pendergraph, Fonville Morisey’s general manager. “It’s unfortunate that so many children continue to struggle with hunger. We strongly encourage everyone in the Triangle to participate in this program.”
