Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC, one of the top lenders in the Mid-Atlantic region, RGS Title, the largest privately-owned title company in Northern Virginia, and Long & Foster Insurance, Inc., one of the 25 largest insurance brokers in the Washington, D.C., metro area have announced they will sponsor Evolution Cycling’s 13th Annual Grand Prix bicycle race on June 22 at Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn, Va.
Prosperity Home Mortgage, RGS Title and Long & Foster Insurance choose to partner with the Evolution Cycling team to provide community awareness for exercise, health and overall bicycle safety.
This year’s RGS Title/Prosperity Home Mortgage Grand Prix is expected to host hundreds of cyclists from the Mid-Atlantic region to compete at all levels, from novice to semi-pro racer, in the USA Cycling-sanctioned event. The new venue at Brambleton Town Center features a six-corner, 1-kilometer course.
The schedule includes races throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m. Pre-registration will close at midnight on June 19. Registration will open again at 7 a.m. on the day of the Grand Prix and will close 20 minutes before the start of each race. Cost to enter is $35 for pre-registration and $45 for day-of registration. A second race costs $15 during pre-registration and $20 the day of the race. Children’s races will be included for younger cyclists ages 4 to 6 and ages 7 to 9 at 11:30 a.m. Children with any kind of bike are welcome to participate in the race as long as they are wearing a bike helmet.
Select proceeds from the event from the event will support The Raisin Hope Foundation, an organization that encourages brain injury research and promotes public awareness and understanding of people with a disability as a result of a brain injury. This charity is important to the Evolution Cycling team, as one of its teammates continues to recover from a brain trauma injury he suffered during a bicycle race.
“The team at Prosperity Home Mortgage, RGS Title and Long & Foster Insurance believes whole-heartedly in the promotion of safety and cycling,” said Teresa Schudel, regional vice president for RGS Title. “Cycling encourages a healthy lifestyle and interaction among community members. RGS Title is pleased to support cycling as a sport and to help raise money for a great cause, the Raisin Hope Foundation, while at the same time proactively educating young riders about brain injury, safety and prevention.”
“We’re really looking forward to our exciting new course at Brambleton Town Center,” said Ron Wivagg, national sales manager for Prosperity Home Mortgage. “This annual event allows us to celebrate cycling and support The Raisin Hope Foundation, and we especially look forward to encouraging the young riders to pursue safe cycling.”
