Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest family-owned residential real estate company in the United States, is pleased to announce Dontae Carroll has been named as senior vice president of operations for the company’s Southern Maryland, Montgomery County, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia/West Virginia regions.

In his new role, Carroll will work to support Long & Foster’s offices on training, educational, recruitment and other efforts. Carroll, who joined Long & Foster in 2011, has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry and until recently has been serving as the company’s regional manager for the Southern Maryland and Prince George’s County areas.
“I am thrilled to be able to work with agents and office managers across a larger portion of the Mid-Atlantic region, and to work with them to further their goals and their careers,” Carroll said. “I look forward to my new role with Long & Foster and to helping create opportunities for managers, agents and clients alike.”
Prior to joining Long & Foster, Carroll worked in a number of essential roles in the real estate industry at Century 21 and Re/Max International. His career has focused on recruiting, sales activity management, coaching and developing agents, maximizing performance and production, building and implementing effective business systems and practices, and more.
Carroll received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Loyola University in Maryland in 1996, became a Certified Residential Brokerage Manager in 2006 and is licensed in real estate in Maryland. He is a lifelong Maryland resident and he and his wife have a son and a daughter. Outside of the world of real estate, he enjoys working out, traveling and politics.
