Senior Long & Foster executive honored for leading the real estate industry in Maryland

The Daily Record, a Maryland-based news outlet, has named Long & Foster Real Estate’s Cindy Ariosa as one of its 2018 Influential Marylanders. Created in 2006, the Influential Marylanders list comprises individuals who have made significant contributions to their industries and serve as leaders in the state. Editors at The Daily Record select the honorees and Ariosa was the only residential real estate executive to be named to the list.

“I’m honored to be named to the Influential Marylanders list and recognized for my commitment to the real estate industry and to our state,” said Ariosa, who serves as senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster’s Baltimore, Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore of Maryland regions. “I always strive to give back—whether it’s serving on an industry board, helping our Long & Foster agents to build their businesses or volunteering in the community—and I’m thankful that these contributions can help others just as much as they fulfill my personal goals.”

Ariosa has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and oversees about 45 Long & Foster offices in Maryland. She has been recognized among the real estate industry’s most influential leaders on the Swanepoel Power 200 in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and was named to the Inman Influencer List in 2017. Ariosa is the treasurer for the Bright MLS Board of Directors, and she is actively involved in Realtor associations at the local, state and national level. She frequently contributes to publications like The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun.

“The 2018 Influential Marylanders work tirelessly to excel in their careers, but they work just as hard to spark innovation and progress, meeting a variety of challenges in Maryland and beyond,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They have qualities we aspire to emulate and accomplishments we admire. They are examples for us all. The Daily Record is honored to recognize them.”

In addition to the real estate industry, The Daily Record recognized Influential Marylanders in civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, general business, health care, law, philanthropy and technology.
